What Is Adverbs? Definitions, Types And Examples
An adverb is
a word that modifies or describes a verb, adjective, or other adverb. It
provides more information about how, when, where, or to what extent something
is happening.
There are
several types of adverbs in English:
Adverbs of Time:
Adverbs of
time describe when an action is taking place. Examples: now, yesterday, later,
always (In Hindi: अभी,
कल, बाद में, हमेशा)
Adverbs of Frequency:
Adverbs of frequency
describe how often an action is taking place. Examples: always, often, rarely,
never (In Hindi: हमेशा, अक्सर, कभी-कभी, कभी नहीं)
Adverbs of Place:
Adverbs of
place describe where an action is taking place. Examples: here, there, nearby,
outside (In Hindi: यहाँ, वहाँ, पास में, बाहर)
Adverbs of Manner:

manner describe how an action is taking place. Examples: slowly, quickly,
carefully, happily (In Hindi: धीरे से, जल्दी से, सावधानी से, खुशी से)
Adverbs of Degree:

degree describe the extent or intensity of an action. Examples: very, quite,
completely, almost (In Hindi: बहुत, काफी, पूरी तरह से, लगभग)
Interrogative Adverbs:
Interrogative
adverbs are used to ask questions about an action. Examples: when, where, why,
how (In Hindi: कब,
कहाँ, क्यों, कैसे)
Relative Adverbs:
Relative
adverbs introduce relative clauses and relate them to the main clause.
Examples: where, when, why (In Hindi: जहाँ, जब,
क्यों)

She always
sings beautifully. (In Hindi: वह हमेशा सुंदरता से गाती है।)
He runs
quickly to catch the bus. (In Hindi: वह बस पकड़ने के लिए जल्दी से दौड़ता है।)
